How the Bible Society promotes the Bible in the Education field
From classics to astronomy, literature to language, history
and culture are littered with biblical references, allusions and ideas.
But increasingly teachers, examiners and university departments are expressing concern
about student's lack of understanding of the Christian worldview - a worldview which has had a tremdous impact on our heritage.

The Good News Bible is a firm favourite in churches and schools alike, providing the first
truly easy-to-read bible
The Bible Society research with Exeter University into educational practice showed
that when Bible stories are taught in schools, they are often stripped of their meaning.
Bible Society is working to equip teachers and students with tools to help them understand
the Bible and its relevance.

Written by UK teachers, examiners and academics, it helps students and teachers of
English at A-Level and in university appreciate the importance of the Bible to our culture.
Serving as a one-stop resource for a growing number of exam texts, the site provides
information on big ideas and common sayings from the Bible as well as articles about how to approach Scripture.
